Home security in India

Video surveillance in the house provides protection almost every time. According to a report 14% of the crimes happened in the streets and other public areas and Almost 25% crime rate is in residential areas. This implies that places which should be kept safest for us and our families are not that much safe this time.
But this crime rate is coming down from last few years. The reason behind that is technology awareness and its adaptations by people. No doubt technology is getting advance with everyday updates.

The Home Security Camera

Home security cameras are one of the most popular gadgets that people can equip their homes with. This is because home security cameras are easy to install. Having home security cameras in your home may not prevent your home from being robbed but it offers a certain level of peace knowing that everything going on in your home and its premises are well recorded.

Advantages include:

With a home security camera, no one can go in and out of the house unnoticed and no movement goes undetected and unrecorded. Installing a home security camera in full view may also be one way of warding off and discouraging robbers as home security camera recordings can be transmitted to local security receiving stations and monitored by people who can immediately respond to untoward incidents in your home.

Furthermore, having security cameras in full sight can also discourage robbers from pursuing the crime as home security camera recordings can now be used in court as evidence of crime.

The northern region has the highest proportion of security installations in comparison to other region in India.

Political capital of Delhi and the surrounding NCR Delhi, NCR region are most protected cities by home security surveillance.

South India is the second largest market using home security surveillance. But Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh are Largely lacking in home security.

Cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad are major cities where many multinational and IT firms also used video surveillance.

Mumbai is a major market by virtue of being the  Mumbai, financial  capital,  large  number of offices and Goa,dominance of apartment housing also has lowest crime rates after setting up video surveillance.
These days wireless technology is mostly used .Because Wireless Camera is the transmission of audio and video analog signals encoded as digital packets over high bandwidth radio frequencies.
  • Wide  transmission range usually close to 450 feet (open space, clear line of sight between camera and receiver.
  • High quality video and audio
  • Two-way communication between the camera and the receiver
  • Digital signal means you can transmit commands and functions, such as turning lights on and off.
  • You can connect multiple receivers to one recording device, such as security DVR
